Google My Business – A great FREE tool for your business

05/06/2020

Google My Business is a FREE tool that allows you to promote your Business Profile and business website on Google Search and Maps. With your Google My Business account, you can see and connect with your customers, post updates to your Business Profile and see how customers are interacting with your business on Google.

Your Business Profile on Google helps your business show up when it matters most: the moment customers are searching for your business or products or services like yours on Google Search and Maps.

By logging into your Google My Business account you can update your address, phone number, website, open hours and more to help customers find and connect with your business, especially helpful at the moment when people are looking for when you business may re-open.

You can also keep your profile updated with fresh photos, special offers and promotions to make it easy for customers to choose you.

If you are unsure as to whether your business has a google profile type your business name into Google Maps. You should then be presented with a listing for your business.

Where it says ‘Own this business? Claim it now’ – if you click on this link it will give you a clue as to which email address was used to set up the account if it is already owned by your business. If it is unclaimed, you will be able to set up an account and verify the ownership.

The BID is registered as a Google Local Guide which allows us to post updates about the Cathedral Quarter as an area, publicise any events and updates and suggest any edits that may benefit your business profiles. We are currently reviewing all the addresses and contact information for each BID business, submitting changes to Google where we notice any inconsistencies.
