The proposed One Cathedral Green building scheme is back on track – two months after building work was postponed.

There were fears that the proposed building in Full Street could be on hold for a prolonged period after the Union Unite, which was due to take up a third of the space, withdrew.

Derby City Council has now gone back to the drawing board and will present a new plan for the site, which still includes grade A office space.

The council has decided to increase the available space in the building from 37,500 sq ft of office space to 42,900 sq ft and to go ahead with a speculative build costing £12.1 million, funded through borrowing.
