From Saturday 29 November to Wednesday 31 December, Derby Market Place transforms into a magical winter wonderland! Glide across the covered ice rink, enjoy festive tunes, and sip a warming drink from the Nordic Bar next door.
All ages and abilities are welcome โ with free skate aids, hourly sessions, and skate hire included.

Who can skate?
Ages 4+ are welcome. Under-12s must be supervised on the ice (1 adult per 5 children). Toddler sessions (under-5s) are also available.
Is it accessible?
Yes! The rink is wheelchair accessible, and skate aids are available free of charge on a first-come basis.
Can I watch without skating?
Absolutely โ enjoy the festive lights, music, and atmosphere from the viewing area.
Do I need to bring skates?
