To mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the Royal Lancers Museum Curator Angela Tarnowski will discuss the special connection between The Royal Lancers and their Colonel-in-Chief. 2022 is also the 75th anniversary of the Queen’s role as Colonel-in-Chief of the 16th/5th Lancers. Angela will explain why the connection between the Monarch and her soldiers is important and will look at previous royal connections with The Royal Lancers.

Angela Tarnowski was appointed Curator of the Royal Lancers Museum (Derby) in 2014. She was previously Curator of the 9th/12th Royal Lancers Museum and the Museum of the Mercian Regiment. She has worked with a number of other regimental museum collections and began her career at the National Army Museum.
