Derbyshire’s place in the middle of England, and with its geographical and geological contrasts, means it has long been a place of industry. From early mining engineering to small modular reactors, the county and its natives have played an important part in developments in the physical sciences.
This talk will explore some of the lives of the interesting and eccentric scientists who were born in, have lived and worked in, or have other links to the county of Derbyshire.
Doors open at the venue at 18:30 with the talk beginning at 19:00. Please enter the Museum of Making via the Lombe Door.
There will be a bar available for the purchase of refreshments.
