John Newling exhibition ‘The Sharing of Uncertainty’

Our beautiful John Newling show ‘The Sharing of Uncertainty’ is open Monday to Saturday, 12 – 4, until 31 October

Through the making of artwork John explores his – and humanity’s relationship with Nature. He suggests that our delusion that Nature is a limitless resource for us to plunder needs to be replaced with an understanding of human beings as part of Nature – not separate from it but intimately entwined with it.

The exhibition coincides with the publication of ‘Ecology Works, a major survey of 20 years of John’s work, and a film by Reece Straw, ‘Dear Nature, titled after John’s book of the same name, in which he wrote 81 letters to Nature over 81 days.
