Cathedral Quarter businesses make Mother's Day

Cathedral Quarter Businesses came together to provide one lucky lady with a Mother's Day to remember. Diane Cade, foster carer to over 100 Derbyshire children, spent a day in the Cathedral Quarter being pampered and showered with gifts.

Thanks go to the businesses who donated gifts; Headquarters on Queen Street, Baked and Derby Museum & Art Gallery on The Strand, Prosecco Parlour in Strand Arcade and The Beauty Spot and Scentaflora on Sadler Gate.

The feature was included in Saturday's Derby Telegraph. To read in full please click here.

Derby Comedy Festival & 'Blast Off!' Launch Day

Derby Comedy Festival comes to the Cathedral Quarter with over sixty different events spread over a number of venues including The Old Bell Hotel on Sadler Gate, Bean Caffe at Friar Gate Studios, The Blessington Carriage and Deda on Chapel Street, and the Guildhall Clubrooms off the Market Place.

The Comedy Festival takes place between Friday 29 April and Sunday 8 May but will be launched with the 'Blast Off!' Day which will run alongside CQ Saturdays Knickerbocker Glorious on the Market Place on Saturday 16 April.

Blast Off! Day will be a one day family friendly event with a super hero theme, featuring a cavalcade of comic book heroes and villains, interactive workshops, challenges and performances. Look out for the infamous Lego walk!

As well as hosting events, businesses in the Cathedral Quarter will be supporting Derby Comedy Festival with a number of special offers and promotions - look out for the flyer which will be distributed on Trent Barton buses, at the Comedy Festival events and via the Cathedral Quarter Rangers.
