Purple Flag

Derby Purple Flag application submitted

The Cathedral Quarter BID has assisted Derby City Council in submitting its application to the Association of Town and City Management (ATCM) to retain it's Purple Flag status for a further year.

An international accreditation scheme which recognises excellence in managing the evening and night-time economy, Derby first achieved Purple Flag status in 2013. Those cities in receipt of this award benefit from more visitors, lower crime and anti-social behaviour and improved perceptions.

Subsequent to this submission, Purple Flag judges will visit the city to assess with a final decision on the award being announced in July.

Invitation to become a member of Cathedral Quarter BID

Businesses within the Cathedral Quarter who pay a BID levy are invited to become a member of the Cathedral Quarter Company Ltd, the registered company limited by guarantee, which is charged with the responsibility for delivering the Business Improvement District Plan (2013-2018).

Becoming a member gives you the opportunity to attend the company's General Meetings and to vote on BID Company issues. Each business is entitled to one member and one vote.
