  • LOCAL BISTROT OFFERS CHRISTMAS SUPPORT TO ITS CUSTOMERS

Leading French restaurant, Le Bistrot Pierre, is inviting its customers to share their biggest fears over Christmas cooking.  The popular bistrot at Friargate, Derby, has seen an increase in early bookings for its 2013 Joyeux Noël menu but is conscious that not everyone relishes the challenge of cooking a Christmas dinner.

Head Chef Shaun Ruttle comments “Noël is always popular chez Pierre.  We make a great show of dressing the bistrot up and are delighted to see familiar faces celebrating with us year after year.  Every Christmas though, customers ask us for tips tackling their various worries about festive cooking; what to serve as a starter; how they should cook the roast potatoes; or alternatives to Christmas pudding.  So we thought this year we’d pre-empt it and invite questions early on, so we can pull together the answers for the most pressing concerns.”

Customers with cooking questions are invited to send them via email on questions@pierre94.co.uk via twitter to @PierreDerby or drop them in at the bistrot at Friargate, Derby.

“We’re already racing away with our bookings.  There is still some availability but I’d advise people to book soon if they want to celebrate with us” comments Manager, Fiona Paterson.  “We’ve also put thousands of pounds worth of gift vouchers in our Christmas crackers, so some customers will have more to celebrate than they are expecting.”

Shaun Ruttle continues, “All our food is prepared on site, from the sauces through to the deserts, just as you would find in any bistrot across the continent, so we offer an authentic taste of a provincial French Noël with dishes such as honey-glazed goats cheese on toasted brioche; fillet of sea bass with crayfish, roasted fennel and bouillabaisse sauce or grilled pasture-fed 21 day-aged rump steak with roasted garlic and green herb butter.”

The Christmas set lunch menu costs £15.95 for three courses, whilst the Christmas dinner menu costs £24.95, and there is an early-bird offer of two courses for £15.95 before 6.30pm.

Le Bistrot Pierre, is open at the following times: Lunch 12pm – 3pm Monday to Friday and 12pm – 3.30pm Saturday and 12pm – 4.00pm Sunday and Dinner being served 5.30pm – 10.00pm Monday to Thursday, 5.30pm – 11.00pm Friday & Saturday and 6.pm – 10.00 pm on Sundays.

  • Corporate Partner Scheme

We are looking for city centre businesses that we can join with to support each other in business. Our Corporate Partner Scheme (CPS) is a successful initiative that allows you to offer staff incentives and increase profits within your business.

CPS involves us supplying local businesses with vouchers for our gift experiences that you can use as staff incentives and/or gift vouchers to sell and gift. The profit from any sales is kept by yourselves and we receive the lead for the customer. The bonus of this scheme is that you're able to offer incentives/gifts to your staff and/or customers without it costing your business anything. This scheme has been piloted with gyms and car dealerships and has received positive feedback. Due to its success, we're now looking to expand it into other industries within the area.

  • CQ Life Christmas Edition

CQ Life Christmas2013 Edition – Don’t Miss This Opportunity
The Christmas 2013 issue of CQLife is due to be published at the beginning of November and is a fantastic opportunity for you to publicise your business at this important time of year –free of charge.
The magazine will be distributed through the Derbyshire Life and Derbyshire magazines, through key outlets in the city and county and online to loyalty cardholders.
The purpose of the glossy ‘coffee table’ style magazine is to illustrate the Cathedral Quarter’s diverse offer and show the expertise and unique aspects of the businesses in a format which reflects and promotes the brand values of the Cathedral Quarter.  CQ Life therefore focuses on editorial –featuring ideas, advice and comment to ensure that we interest the readers with information rather than switching them off by just going for the hard sell in block advertising.
The following features are planned for the Christmas 2013 issue:

    Christmas gift ideas
Looking good – fashion, accessories, hair and beauty, personal fitness
Celebrate in style – restaurants, lunchtime and evening venues
Christmas magic – what’s on, entertainment
New Year– New Start (professional advice pertinent to the time of year eg: financial planning, family law, marketing your business, buying a new home).

If you wish to be included,  please contact Sarah Jenkin-Jones to discuss what you want to include in the magazine: Tel: 01332 515102/07951945 665; sarah@jjpublicrelations.co.uk  by Friday September 6 2013.
The deadline for all copy and photographs will be Friday September 20 2013 so that this can be designed, printed and then distributed in time to give businesses maximum exposure at this important time of year.

This is a fantastic way of demonstrating your expertise and encouragingcustomers into your business so please do get involved and, just to reiterate, inclusion in the magazine is at no cost to your business – it is all part ofthe BID’s work to promote the Cathedral Quarter and the businesses within thisarea.
