The BID will be producing some new cards for this and as such we would like to invite businesses from within the BID area to quote for this service.   If this is of interest to you, please contact the BID office via email or on 01332 419053 by the end of the day on Wednesday 16 May 2018 to obtain further information on the requirements.   Deadline for receipt of quotations will be 2pm on Monday 21 May.    CQ Saturdays Knickerbocker Glorious - 19th May The BID funded CQ Saturdays Knickerbocker Glorious will return to the Waterfall stage in the Market Place this Saturday 19th May from 11am to 3pm.   ‘A Right Royal Knees Up!’ will celebrate the Royal Wedding which also takes place on the same day and will feature music, dance and variety performances by top local artists.   The afternoon will be hosted by Dame Alfreton-Matlock-Brassington-Hayfield (Alfie for short) and will feature performances by vintage vocalist Rebecca Jayne, Allestree-based chorus ‘Sing For Your Supper’, Belly Dance group Deosil, guitarist and singer River Hopkins and singer Simply Mel.   The free entertainment is organised by Furthest From The Sea and the event is supported by Derby City Council.   View the event here on Facebook.   Derby Cathedral Peregrines become parents once again. The Peregrines that nest at the top of Derby Cathedral have three new peregrine chicks, with one egg still unhatched.   Whilst many other pairs of peregrines around the country have already hatched their eggs, Derby's always seem later than most.   You can watch them live on the webcams here.   Other important news for businesses   Sponsor a duck for the Ey Up Mi Duck Race. Derby Museums are asking people to share their thoughts about Derby and help write ‘The Derby Story’.   Linked to the development of the new Museum of Making at Derby Silk Mill, contributions will help reflect the city’s past and present as a meeting point, a trading centre and a city of industry and innovation.   Over the coming weeks, questions will be asked as encouragement for people to share their thoughts.
